I’ve already booked the Mansion. Do I need an appointment when I stop by?
Yes, we do everything here at the Mansion by appointment only. Please call us to schedule an appointment when you want to come in. 251-471-6364



Does the Mansion offer catering services?

Bragg-Mitchell Mansion does not offer an on-site catering service. You may choose from any licensed professional catering company in the area.



Is there room inside the Mansion for a band or DJ?

Yes, the double parlor of the Mansion is large enough for a small band or DJ.



Does the Mansion supply outdoor chairs, tables or tents?

The Mansion has a few tables provided in the patio area. Ceremony chairs, outdoor reception furniture and all tents should be rented from a rental company.



How many guests can the Mansion accommodate for a reception or party?

Bragg-Mitchell Mansion can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests inside the Mansion for a buffet reception. For larger events you may use the grounds of the Mansion and rent additional seating or tent(s).



Does the Mansion have a dressing area?

A bridal suite with private powder room is provided for the bride and her attendants. We ask that all gentlemen arrive dressed.



How many guests can the Mansion accommodate for a wedding ceremony?

Outdoor ceremonies accommodate an unlimited number of guests. The double parlor of the Mansion may be used for indoor ceremonies and can comfortably accept 60-80 guests.



May I have my bridal portrait made at Bragg-Mitchell Mansion?

Rental of the Mansion for a reception includes a complimentary bridal portrait appointment during regular office hours with full use of the Mansion and grounds including the bridal suite. The charge for this service for non-clients is $200 for a two hour appointment during regular business hours. Mansion grounds and porches may be used free of charge for bridal portraits any time after hours, and it is always wise to call ahead to make certain no event is scheduled or that a tent will be on the front lawn.



Does my eight hour rental of the Mansion include time for the caterer and other vendors to set up?

The eight hour rental of the Mansion begins when your hostess unlocks the doors and ends when she locks them again at the end of the event. Any vendors are welcome to work outside the Mansion including on the porches, however no one will be allowed inside the Mansion until the contracted time begins. Most often the eight hour rental is sufficient, but you may add additional hours at the rate of $230 per hour if your event will last longer than typical.
